Socratic seminar: Animal farm
question
1. In God, Death, and the Hungry Peasant. We know that god is unfair as he only gives to those who he likes as he never gives to those who he likes as he never gives to the poor. Also that Death is fair as he, "treats the rich and poor, fat and thin, young and old the same". Why do you think people still worship/believe in someone who is unfair but worship someone who is fair like Death.

Quotes
1. "A Man choices a slave obeys."- Andrew Ryan
A person who decides to choose for themselves and think about what they do is a clever man as a person who is a clever man, as a man who is blind who believes in what anyone has to say and doesn't question a word they say. The reason i choose this quote was because this can be seen by many who don't choose to do something for themselves but listen to someone as they feel it would be easier to follow. As Animal Farm can be a perfect example of the animals being a slave to the the man who choosing. As Napoleon a pig who was to symbolize Joseph Stalin, was the man who would choose for every animal as they all obeyed without question.
2. Nothing is true, everything is permitted.- Ezio Auditore
The main point of this quote is to go along with the first quote as it resembles the man that can choose. As there will always be the thinker who can choose what he believes in as he can say that is not true. That is were he says, "nothing is true", that anything that anyone says can be a lie or that you shouldn't trust everything you see. As when he says, "everything is permitted." When he says that, he can say that the lie he was told can be true or false as he is deciding on his own and not by others. As this can go along with Animal Farm, as the animals believed Napoleon, without question. As they thought that they were doing good but in the end, it was all false to them.
3."Then we had won back the land we had before."- Boxer (Animal Farm)
When you think you won something that was already yours, you will realize that you have lost and you never had gain. As this is something that many people go through as they try to gain something and thinking that that they have gained. This something that the animals go through as they fought the farmers so that the animals can keep animals can keep Animal Farm. They lost so much to gain something they already had which they will soon be forced to work for the rest of there life.

notes
1. There were animals that did care for the other animals and for the pigs, but as Napoleon was executing animals. He must had gotten them as this was there last stand before Napoleon took full control. Also, there was also one animal that could have done something but he didn't care as it wasn't his way.
2.When absolute power is given to those who can use it, it will usually lead a stray as they can become corrupted. As in most stories, most people become corrupted and this is also related to real life as it also happened in real life.
3. As Animalism is suppose to represent Capitalism, it shows that equality can never happen as it impossible to keep everyone the same as there will always be that someone will outwit everybody.
